Sharing your Walk
You’ll have completed an application form before having your Bethel Sozo. Most of these have on them a comment which reads something like this:
“Do you attend a life/cell/home group as part of your Church? If not, we recommend you join one. We suggest that you find an accountability partner to share your Sozo experience and help you walk out your Godly truths.”
Why would we suggest that? Because life is all about relationships. Simply put, you were never meant to be on your own. People are designed to share, to live in community, to rely on others, and to be relied on by others. Life may have forced you into being a loner, but that’s not God’s plan for you. If that was an issue in your Sozo, we hope you now know the truth that God loves you and finds you utterly acceptable. Not only that but somewhere close to you, there’s a community of Christians, many of whom have shared many of the same experiences you have and all of whom are ready to welcome you into their midst. It may mean having
to step out of your comfort zone, but it’s important to find or choose someone with whom you can share your Sozo and who’ll be able to help keep you on track and accountable, so you don’t allow the lies of the past to re-establish themselves. You are bestowing a great honour when you ask someone to mentor you or keep you accountable. Don’t hold back from giving that honour to someone.
A dear friend will love you no matter what. And a family sticks together through all sorts of trouble.

Father God, thank You that You’re the God of change and that, through You, all things are possible. Thank You for my Sozo and for showing me the lies that I’ve believed about myself all these years.Thank You for revealing to me the truth and for showing me how much You love me and how special I am to You. I choose to believe that truth and to make it mine. Thank You that I can see and do life knowing I’m a beloved son/daughter of the Most High. I can now see life through Your eyes and not through the lenses I’ve been wearing until now. I declare the truth that I am loved, and that life is going to be different from now on. Amen.
