Spending time with the Godhead
How easy is it to build a friendship with someone you never spend time with or talk to? It’s not really possible is it? Put it another way, if you had a friend who you visited every Sunday morning, who you spent some time singing songs to or about, you listened to someone talking about your friend and then you went home, how good would that be for developing your friendship? Not good? Because that’s what it’s so easy to do with God, to just visit Him on a Sunday morning and not work on making a real friendship.
Your Sozo was different. You’ll have spent quality time speaking to and hearing from Father God, Holy Spirit and Jesus. The Good News is that you can keep that conversation going wherever you are, whenever you want. There are not many friends who will spend their entire time chasing you to get your attention so that you include them in your life every day but that’s what the Godhead does, for one simple reason, you are deeply loved. So, why not take the decision today to build your friendship with Father God, with Holy Spirit and with Jesus? Why not put some of your already pressured time aside to listen to and speak with those who want to be the best friends you’ve ever had? It might be only a few minutes a day but it would be so worth it. Jesus did it, so should we.

Prayer and Response
Father God, I don’t want to spend my life having a distant relationship with You, with Jesus and with Holy Spirit. Todaychoose to continue hearing and sensing You as I did in my Sozo. I choose to live close to You, be aware of You and able to speak to and hear from You, knowing You in my every day. Please show me how to have the discipline to do what it takes to build You time into my life, to carve out a space for me to pray, to hear and to share my life with You, whatever that looks like. Amen.
What will carving out a space look like? Be ready to hear, see, sense or feel the same way as you did in your Sozo. Listen to God and see what He says. Expect to hear from Him with guidance. He’ll show you, then write down what He says to you.
